Choosing a
case-Build Your Own Computer
The first step in computer building is choosing a case.
Choosing a motherboard and processor
This is one of the most important steps in computer building courses
.
Choosing
computer memory
You want to include as much memory as you
can afford, especially if you plan on using your computer for gaming or
video editing.
Choosing a
DVD/CD player
At a minimum you should include a CD writer but with the drop in prices it
makes more sense to go ahead and include a DVD/CD RW. This will allow
you to write to DVD or CD.
Choosing a hard drive
Be sure to include plenty of storage.
Choosing graphics card
If you're going to play computer games you don't want to cut corners here. This can make or break a good game.
Choosing a sound card
Again, if you're playing games you will want to include a good sound
card. For basic sound you can get by
with the motherboard's onboard sound.
Choosing a keyboard and mouse
This is more important than you might think. Wireless, optical, chorded, etc.
