Higher Memory Ram?
265 MB, 512 MBor 256 MB in RAM
You are going to assemble your own computer and for your kind of Job you need to run Scientific programs for many hours, What would you do? How configuration would you launch?
What else do I need? Higher RAM and what else?
Explain me your answer (this is an assigment for a course management information system that I’m taking in college and I need some opinions… in order to “built” my answer.. thanks
I dont know about computer, sorry!
Thanks
Here are some opinions on the assumption that “Scientific Program” is running a lots programs at once.
I would say you have to think in lines of hard core Video Gamer. lots of graphics, lots of inputs, running many applications at ones.
At this I would start with multi core CPUs. Duel core and some other are available to regular consumers. also look for front bus speed – speed of CPU talking to the main board.
Second would be Memory (RAM) more the better. but there is limit with each main board.
3rd, High capacity HDD (optical drives as needed)
4th, Graphic card high end graphic card, gives a better detailed, smooth images. thus the monitor
5th, can be the inputs or USB, IEEE1934 (firewire) for more compatibility to outside equipment.
I would also recommend and external HDD to carry high amounts of data and back up.
Hope this helped
