Should I buy a computer from a custom computer building service I found on craigslist?
There’s a guy on craigslist who’s advertising that he builds custom computers.
If the price is good for what I want…should I go for it?
I’m just afraid he’s gonna use really crappy parts or that he’ll scam me somehow or something.
So..yea…good idea, bad idea?
btw, i’d build one myself but i’m afraid to and it just seems like a ton of work
You’ll save money compared to a retail computer store.
You can reuse a monitor from an old computer (save $160-240)
But he may rip you off. Also no warranty.
I ordered parts for my girlfriend, assembled in 30mins once we got the parts, got it running in ~3 hours.
Research it, lay out your build, you’ll find it’s kind of fun when you get going.
