Build Your Own Server Computer
how to learn about computer?
I am a post grad student in math in university, and i am interested in computer software and hardware and internet stuff. The thing is that i have a few friends who all very much computer experts, they set up servers in linux know all the best components, to buy to build there own pcs.
And ever time i have a question i end up asking them and just feeling bad for not knowing. dont get me wrong there good friends i just want to know how do i get to be at there level of knowedge. So i would like to be a good
programmer
knowledge of hardware – processores and memory pro/con
internet stuff, like routers, ports, and how to configure your own stuff
all the above for linux and windows.
I know its a lot, buti am interested which should be half the battle. Any ideas?
