Build Computers: Step 9: Install Video Card
Before installing Computer Video Card, ground yourself to prevent static electricity damage to the Video Card components by wearing an anti-static wrist strap.
NOTE: Do not use a magnetized screwdriver as it can damage your video card.
Remove the expansion slot cover from the computer case.
The Video/Graphics Card is installed in the AGP slot. On most motherboards, the AGP slot is usually brown in color and it is always situated further in than the PCI slots from the edge of the Motherboard.
The Card and the slot are keyed so it is almost impossible to insert the card incorrectly.
Install Video Card in the AGP slot. Press down firmly and evenly across the top of the card until it is securely seated in the AGP slot taking care not to damage the card or the slot.
Secure the Card to the computer case using a small screw.
